Low-frequency quantum oscillations from interactions in layered metals

چکیده
Metals composed of weakly-coupled, stacked layers possess a Fermi surface that slightly varies in size along the stacking direction. This appears de Haas-van Alphen (dHvA) oscillations magnetisation with magnetic field as two close frequencies, corresponding to extremal cross-sectional areas. We show that, for layered materials sufficiently high mobility, Coulomb interactions can have dramatic effect on form dHvA oscillations: there is also generically an oscillation at small difference large frequencies. determine and this effect, it probes short-range part within material. argue interaction may explain recent experimental observations anomalous low-frequency ultrapure delafossites.

Low Frequency Oscillations Suppression via CPSO based Damping Controller
In this paper, the Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) is enhanced with a Chaotic Particle Swarm Optimization (CPSO) Damping Controller in order to mitigate the Low Frequency Oscillations (LFO) in a Single Machine Infinite Bus (SMIB) power system. The designed damping controller is an optimized lead-lag controller, which extracts the speed deviation of the generator rotor and generates the out...
متن کاملLow-frequency oscillations arising from competitive interactions between visual stimuli in macaque inferotemporal cortex.
Some neurons in the inferotemporal cortex (IT) of the macaque monkey respond to visual stimuli by firing action potentials in a series of sharply defined bursts at a frequency of about 5 Hz. The aim of the present study was to test the hypothesis that the oscillatory responses of these neurons depend on competitive interactions with other neurons selective for different stimuli. To test this hy...
متن کاملLow Power and Low Latency Phase-Frequency Detector in Quantum-Dot Cellular Automata Nanotechnology
Nowadays, one of the most important blocks in telecommunication circuits is the frequency synthesizer and the frequency multipliers. Phase-frequency detectors are the inseparable parts of these circuits. In this paper, it has been attempted to design two new structures for phase-frequency detectors in QCA nanotechnology. The proposed structures have the capability of detecting the phase ...
